Camera module product features and application fields

Camera module is an important electronic device for image capture, widely used in smart phones, smart cars, robots and other intelligent terminals, which can realize the functions of photography, information capture and analysis, visual interaction and so on. The camera module is completed by optical imaging. The principle is that the light of the scene being filmed passes through the lens, filters out the infrared ray through the filter light, retains only the visible light, and then projects to the image sensor. Finally, the optical signal is converted into electrical signal through the photodiode, and then the analog signal is converted into digital signal through the analog-to-digital conversion circuit, and the final output imaging data is processed.IMG_6659.JPG

Process classification:

Camera module process classification: Camera module packaging is mainly divided into CSP, COB, MOB/MOC, FC four processes. The current mainstream process is COB, but only Apple uses the FC process, while the CSP process is mainly used in low-end products. Modules packaged with CSP are purchased packaged lenses and other upstream materials, which are packaged by the module factory; COB is the packaging of unprotected precision devices into modules, which need to be carried out in a clean room; FC is packaged by flip chip, and the electrical side of the traditional process faces down, eliminating the gold wire and reducing the thickness at the same time.

Application field:

The application range of optical lenses is very wide, usually divided into two categories: the consumer market and the industrial field. At present, the consumer market applications mainly include face recognition, video surveillance, car cameras, tachograph, laptop, video intercom, two-dimensional code recognition, OCR and electronic class plate and so on.
